Following the death of founder Mark Reale, the remaining members decided to continue his legacy under the name Riot V (the 'V' signifying the band's fifth chapter). The period from Unleash the Fire (2014) to Mean Streets (2024) is defined by a consistent lineup and a strong return to the power/speed metal sound established on their seminal Thundersteel album.

  • Unleash the Fire (2014): This was the first album released under the Riot V name and the first without Reale. With bassist Don Van Stavern handling the bulk of the songwriting and the introduction of vocalist Todd Michael Hall, the album successfully recaptured the classic, high-energy heavy metal sound, proving the band could thrive and honor its past.

  • Armor of Light (2018): Maintaining the same lineup, Armor of Light further solidified Riot V's return to form, receiving critical praise for its powerful riffs, driving tempos, and soaring vocals. It continued the tradition of anthemic, melodic power metal, bringing the band chart success in several European countries.

  • Mean Streets (2024): The most recent studio album continues the consistent style and quality of its predecessors. It is characterized by high-octane tracks, memorable choruses, and the expert musicianship of the now-veteran lineup. Mean Streets confirms Riot V's status as a vital force in traditional heavy and power metal.
