Todd Michael Hall – A Voice That Carried the Legacy

Todd Michael Hall is widely celebrated among Riot fans as the voice who helped guide the band into a new era while honoring everything that came before. Born in Michigan, Todd grew up surrounded by music, discovering early that his vocal range—clear, powerful, and remarkably high—could take him far.

Long before joining Riot V, he built his reputation singing in bands such as Harlet, Jack Starr’s Burning Starr, and Reverence. These projects gave him the experience and discipline needed to eventually step into one of heavy metal’s most demanding roles.

When Riot decided to continue as Riot V after the passing of founder Mark Reale, they needed a singer capable of respecting the legacy of Guy Speranza, Rhett Forrester, Tony Moore, and Mike DiMeo. These were huge shoes to fill—each vocalist had left his mark, and Riot fans expect excellence.

Todd met that challenge with heart and authenticity. His range allowed him to soar through classic Riot songs while also giving new life to the band’s future material. He brought stability, passion, and a sense of respect for the music that had inspired generations.

With Hall, Riot V released “Unleash the Fire”, “Armor of Light”, and later “Mean Streets”, a powerful album that proved Riot V was still full of energy, creativity, and purpose. His vocals helped carry Mark Reale’s vision into the present, keeping the flame alive for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Though he participates in many musical projects, Todd Michael Hall will always be remembered for his crucial role in the continued legacy of Riot—singing with heart, honor, and the unmistakable drive that defines true heavy metal.
